At the moment, the production of Rosso di Montalcino is suspended due to the loss of grapes due to the hailstorm of May 25th and the loss of wine due to the fire of April 24th

Rosso di Montalcino is a young, lively and tasty wine made from 100% Sangiovese grapes and is released on the market one year after the harvest. The grapes undergo a fifteen-day fermentation in stainless steel tanks and are then aged in oak barrels that give fabulous scents of vanilla and licorice. Rosso di Montalcino from "Il Cocco" is a wine that can be paired with typical Tuscan cuisine and enjoyed on all occasions when you want to satisfy your craving for a good wine.

Intense ruby red. The aroma brings to mind small red fruits, with a sweet note of raspberry and vanilla and a fresher one of currant and pomegranate. In the mouth, the tannin is lively but not invasive, fresh, alcohol in balance, in short a good body/structure. Dark texture, good aromatic persistence. A comforting wine in its genuineness.
Pairs well with grilled meats and pasta dishes with ragù.
Excellent with 50% dark chocolate.
